Who can request health assistance?
Individuals and families who cannot afford the care they need can ask, for themselves or for a family member. Each service has its own criteria, and ZEF checks every request against them and against the resources available before any support is agreed.
What services are currently available?
ZEF’s health work covers medical camps, medicine and surgery support, laboratory tests, ambulance services, mother and child care and a blood bank network. What is available changes by place and time; contact us or send a request and our team will tell you what applies to you.
Is there a fee for health services?
ZEF never charges a fee to apply for help. Where support is approved it is free or subsidised, and it is provided directly through partner hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories or ZEF’s own services, not as cash. Our team explains exactly what is covered before anything starts.
What documents are required?
Each service lists its own documents, such as a CNIC or B-Form, a doctor’s prescription, medical reports or a hospital estimate. The Ask for Help form shows the documents for the service you choose and which of them are required before you can send it.
How are patients selected for assistance?
Requests are reviewed against the service’s criteria: medical need, financial circumstances and urgency. Our team may call you, ask for more documents or speak with the treating doctor. Emergency and critical cases are prioritised where possible, within the resources available.
Do you provide emergency services?
ZEF runs ambulance services in some areas, but it does not replace emergency services. In a life-threatening emergency call Rescue 1122 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department straight away, without waiting for an application review.
How can I support health programmes?
You can donate to a health initiative, partner with ZEF as a hospital, laboratory or organisation, or register as a blood donor. ZEF does not take payments on the website yet: leave your details and our team contacts you with official donation details.
How will my personal information be used?
Your details and documents are used only to assess your request and contact you about it. Only ZEF staff checking requests can see them, they are shared with a partner hospital or laboratory only where your care needs it, and nothing is published without your consent.
