Frequently Asked Questions

Who can request an ambulance service?

Poor and deserving patients, or someone on their behalf, can request the service, with priority for emergencies, pregnancy complications, serious accidents and critical patients. Requests are subject to eligibility and to an ambulance being available in your area at the time.

Is the service completely free?

For eligible patients the service is free or subsidised, depending on the case and the resources available. ZEF never asks for a fee to request help. Our team tells you clearly if any part of a journey is not covered before the ambulance is arranged.

Which areas are currently covered?

Ambulance services run in selected districts of Balochistan and other areas where ZEF has resources and partner support. Coverage changes over time, so contact us or send a request and our team will tell you whether we can help in your area.

What should I do in a life-threatening emergency?

Call Rescue 1122 or ZEF’s ambulance line straight away, or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. Do not wait for an online request to be reviewed: the form is for planned transport and for cases where there is time to check the details.
