About This Training

ZEF's Healthcare / Nursing Assistant training is a practical programme of 4–6 months covering patient care, vital signs, infection prevention, mobility, hygiene, documentation and communication. You train in a skills lab and finish with a practical assessment.

Why 4 to 6 months? Every batch covers the same modules, practical work and assessments. Full-time weekday batches finish in about 4 months; part-time evening or weekend batches, and learners who need extra practice before the final assessment, take up to 6 months.

Benchmarked against the UK Care Certificate standards and the core clinical skills of US Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) programmes.

Questions

Will I become a registered nurse?

No. This training trains healthcare and nursing assistants, who support nurses and patients. Becoming a registered nurse needs a nursing degree or diploma and council registration.

Is there hands-on practice?

Yes. You practise in a skills lab with manikins and equipment. Clinical placements, where available, are arranged separately and depend on partner facilities.

Can this lead to care work abroad?

Some countries recruit care assistants, but they require approved qualifications, registration, language tests and visas. Your counsellor will explain these requirements honestly.
