About This Training

ZEF's Welding: MIG/TIG/SMAW training is a practical programme of 4–6 months covering workshop safety, SMAW, MIG and TIG processes, joint preparation, welding positions and visual inspection. Most of the training is booth time, ending with a practical weld test.

Why 4 to 6 months? Every batch covers the same modules, practical work and assessments. Full-time weekday batches finish in about 4 months; part-time evening or weekend batches, and learners who need extra practice before the final assessment, take up to 6 months.

Benchmarked against NAVTTC’s competency-based Welder qualifications (Levels 2 and 3), the AWS SENSE entry-level welder programme and the NCCER Welding Level 1 modules.

Questions

How much booth time will I get?

Most of the training is practical welding in the workshop. Booth time increases as you progress from safety and basics to positions and test pieces.

Is protective equipment provided?

Welding helmets, gloves, jackets and other workshop PPE are provided for practice. You need your own safety boots. Safety rules are strict and enforced every session.

Will this help me get a welding job abroad?

Welding skills are in demand in Pakistan and the Gulf. Overseas jobs usually require a trade test and are subject to employer, visa and qualification-recognition requirements. The training prepares you for typical practical tests.
