About This Training

ZEF's First Aid, Emergency Care & Patient Support training is a practical programme of 2–3 months covering first aid, CPR and AED awareness, bleeding, burns and fractures, emergency response, patient support and workplace scenarios. Practice uses manikins and realistic drills.

Why 2 to 3 months? Every batch covers the same modules, practical work and assessments. Full-time weekday batches finish in about 2 months; part-time evening or weekend batches, and learners who need extra practice before the final assessment, take up to 3 months.

Benchmarked against the ILCOR resuscitation guidance and the American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED training content.

Questions

Is this an internationally recognised first aid certificate?

It is a ZEF certificate based on practical assessment. Some employers or countries require specific certificates, such as Red Crescent or Red Cross first aid, which are separate.

Why is the training 2–3 months?

Beyond basic first aid, it covers patient support and workplace emergency roles, with repeated practice so skills stick. Shorter workplace sessions can be arranged for organisations.

Can organisations book group training?

Yes. Employers, schools and NGOs can arrange group sessions. Contact us through the employers page.
