About This Training

ZEF's Elderly Care & Professional Caregiver training is a practical programme of 3–4 months covering person-centred care, daily living support, safe transfers, nutrition, hygiene, safeguarding and communication. You finish with a care plan and a practical assessment.

Why 3 to 4 months? Every batch covers the same modules, practical work and assessments. Full-time weekday batches finish in about 3 months; part-time evening or weekend batches, and learners who need extra practice before the final assessment, take up to 4 months.

Benchmarked against the 15 standards of the UK Care Certificate (Skills for Health / Skills for Care) and caregiver curricula used for overseas care roles, adapted for Pakistan.

Questions

Is caregiving a recognised job?

Yes. Demand for trained caregivers is growing in Pakistani cities through home care agencies and private families, and in some countries abroad.

Can I work abroad as a caregiver?

Some countries recruit caregivers, subject to approved qualifications, registration, language, employer and visa requirements. Your counsellor explains these honestly before you enrol.

Is this training only for women?

No. The training welcomes women and men. Families and care homes need both, especially for personal care that matches the patient's preference.
