About This Training
IPTC-4 Senior Professional Educator is the fourth level of ZEF’s International Professional Teaching Certification, for college educators, experienced teachers and senior education professionals. It takes 6 months (24 weeks) online, on campus or hybrid, and includes 120 hours of practical professional education work.
Mapped to the competency areas of Pakistan’s National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST), NACTE teacher-education quality materials and UNESCO’s ICT Competency Framework for Teachers. Questions
Is IPTC-4 Senior Professional Educator equivalent to a B.Ed. or M.Ed.?
No. ZEF IPTC is a ZEF professional training and certification credential. Its curriculum is mapped to Pakistan’s teacher standards and international digital-teaching competencies, but it is not equivalent to a B.Ed., M.Ed., PGCE, QTS or a university degree unless formal recognition is obtained from the relevant authority.
How much practical teaching does IPTC-4 Senior Professional Educator include?
IPTC-4 Senior Professional Educator includes 120 hours of practical work. Practical teaching is required for the full award: you progress through observation, micro-teaching, supervised classroom practice, assessor observation, feedback (and remediation where needed) and a final demonstration. Online learners complete it in their own school or an approved practicum school with a mentor.
Who can join IPTC-4 Senior Professional Educator?
IPTC-4 needs a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, and at least 2 years of education or teaching experience is recommended. Progression normally follows the previous level or an approved equivalency assessment; recognition of prior learning can be considered with documented evidence.
