About This Training
ZEF's Mining Surveying & GIS training is a practical programme of 3–4 months covering surveying, GPS, coordinate systems, GIS, mine mapping, spatial data processing and a mapping project. You work with real survey equipment and GIS software.
Why 3 to 4 months? Every batch covers the same modules, practical work and assessments. Full-time weekday batches finish in about 3 months; part-time evening or weekend batches, and learners who need extra practice before the final assessment, take up to 4 months.
Benchmarked against the Esri ArcGIS Pro Associate certification topics and standard mine surveying practice.

Questions
How is this different from GIS & Digital Land Surveying?
This training applies surveying and GIS to mining: pit mapping, volumes and site control. GIS & Digital Land Surveying is broader, for land and infrastructure.
Will I use a total station?
Yes, in field sessions, along with GPS receivers. Equipment availability is confirmed for each batch.
Who hires mining surveyors?
Mining companies, quarries, engineering consultants and survey firms, in Pakistan and on international mining projects subject to employer and visa requirements.
